Eger: water, wine, history
Eger has got two fluid treasures: thermal water and wine. There is no person who has not tasted the famous Bull’s Blood of Eger and hopefully a lot of people have tried the thermal water containing radon and ion. But Eger is also famous for its Baroque buildings, the Turkish monuments (like the Turkish Bath and the Minaret) and its archaic narrow streets where you have to get lost if you really want to get to know its mistery through which Eger slowly works its way into our heart.
There is no one who does not know the Castle and its famous siege in 1552, the story was written in the book Stars of Eger which was chosen the most popular novel in 2005. It is worth wandering for days in this charming town of North Hungary.
