About the sight
Eger is a really sport town. You don’t have to think of only the national champion women and men water polo team but after visiting the castle you can undertake to walk the 97 stairs on the winding staircase in the Minaret and find pleasure in the wonderful view.
The 40 metres high minaret used to belong to the Kethuda mosque and today it is the most northern monument of the 17th century architecture. Do not miss its müezzin prayer if you are here!
